#Sinful Sunday Come Lie With Me

This image came from my photoshoot with the beyond fantastic Modern Noir Studios in Texas. We had way way way too much fun with the photoshoot. 3 outfits over 5 hours and it flew by so quickly. I simply must do it again some day.

This picture is one of my favorites from the set. It’s just me with a very satisfied look on my face, being just a tad short of perfect (note the rip in my stockings) amongst some lovely comic books. I was traveling so only part of this is my collection, more were chipped in from my friend’s Sonny (two of the books he actually drew) and Willa. The book on my stomach is a yaoi (manga style novel featuring boy love aka gay sex) novel done by my friend Sonny’s mentor and I’d be lying if I didn’t jump up and down with excitement when it’s author, Wendy Pini who also drew ElfQuest, commented on the picture saying she loved it.

Enough of my rambling…enjoy (also click to enlarge the image).

  1. A fun image and from the smile on your face it’s clear that you had fun too. I love the shoes next to the books. Only saw them when I looked at the photo for the second time ;)

    • My friend’s felt a pair of shoes would help make the image. I feel guilty in admitting to the fact that they aren’t mine. I can’t walk in heels *blush*

But yes I had tons of fun. Thanks :)

  2. Perfect photo! It makes me want to do a shoot like this too. You look truly stunning in it. It reminds me of the worldbuilders fantasy pin-up calendar. If I were you I would put it on my wall!

    • Ooo that looks like an amazing calendar. Wish I didn’t have too many already so I’d have some place to put it. Plus I tend to be a lot of places Peter Beagle is so I could get him to sign January.

Thanks for the fantastic comment. If you ever get a chance to do a shoot, do it and have fun!

      xx

    • Thank you so much. The rip shows how the photo wasn’t really touched up. Between the proof and the finished product there really isn’t a noticeable difference. My friend at Modern Noir is just that amazing when it comes to photography.

    • Wendy is amazing. My friend Sonny (whose wife did my makeup in this pic) actually drew for ElfQuest for a short while and is a dear friend of hers. I squeed soooo loudly when she commented on the picture. Someday I must meet her!

Thanks for your comment and if there is one place a nerdy and naughty Bunny is at home, it is amongst her comics. :)

  3. I can’t help but smile when I see this. You look delicious and the whole scene is set out so well. As for the smile… just infectious quite frankly

    • Thank you. Posing amongst comic books really seems a calling for me. It’s hard not to smile when you are surrounded by things (and just off camera, people) you love. The next time I’m in Texas I’ll have to do another shoot. :)

    • Thank you! The rip doesn’t bother me at all in this image. I think it proves how this isn’t photoshopped to heck and back as repairing that rip would take seconds in photoshop. And having seen the proofs and knowing how I could look given proper effort gives me a bit of a boost.

      • That’s good! I don’t photoshop either. I only play with the color usually and cut the picture but nothing with photoshop (usually) I have used to get rid of an annoying shadow though!
        xx
